We’re not talking about buildings. We’re talking about websites. Just as buildings require attention, care, and updating, so do websites.
Website refreshes and rebuilds have been front and center for the team at HMG recently.
As we shared last month, we completed a rebuild of the Carroll Merchants summer league baseball team’s site to meet the volunteer leadership’s expectation for a more intuitive user experience as well as easy-to-update content system. Take a look here: www.merchantsbaseball.com
Two other website rebuilds are underway at the moment.
For the Swine Health Information Center, the website is a repository of valuable swine health research, disease monitoring data, and home of unique programs designed to protect and enhance the health of the US swine herd. This rebuild will update the aesthetic of the site but also functionality, making 10 years’ information easier to search, use, and reference.
Agri Business Insurance wishes to update their online presence which hasn’t changed since we first built their site several years ago. A new generation is leading this family-owned company and their business model has adapted with the passing of time as well. We look forward to this rebuild which will reflect their commitment to service and client success.
So, how does your online infrastructure look these days? Is it time to refresh or even rebuild your online home? We’re here to help you evaluate and provide strategic recommendations for how to make the most of your investment in a website.
Katie’s Vance had open heart surgery on April 25. As surgeons repaired the hole in Vance’s heart, they placed an adult sized valve they believe should last him many years. Following surgery, Vance was in heart block meaning a pacer was needed provide voltage to his system for it to function as needed. The goal, of course, was for Vance’s body to provide conduction on its own but the solution was insertion of a pacemaker this morning. Katie said surgery went well and they should be released by the end of the week. Yay!
Despite the rigors of the initial surgery and follow up. Vance remains happy and as his photo shows, brings lots of joy to family and staff. He celebrated his first birthday on April 29 and Vance’s cardiologist came in with birthday cake to share with him.
We continue to hold Vance, Katie, Derek, and their family in prayer and invite you to join us. We are grateful for the support the Ketelsens all receive through Children’s Hospital in Omaha and from your well wishes, too.
Memorial Day gives us the opportunity to remember those who paid the ultimate price in service to our nation. These heroes shape our lives in countless ways, ensuring our freedom and way of life.
HMG will be closed on Memorial Day, May 26, in recognition of these service men and women.
